“The Jewel” of our waters originates at an altitude of about 2,500 m at the Krimmler Törl and runs above the waterfalls for a length of approx. 15 km right through the Krimml Achental valley. A natural fly fishing water with a meadow river character and a width of 10–20 m awaits you. Short mountain stream-style sections are easy to navigate.
Below the waterfalls, amidst beautiful stone pine forests, you will find a mixed mountain stream with medium and large pools; these are a bit more difficult to navigate, but won’t deter a true fly fisher.
This beautiful water is a protected nature area and may be fished by a maximum of 10 fishers per day. Catch and release applies to the entire stretch. Reservations requested.
