River, fast flow, mostly very deep, some steep and overgrown banks; restored sections are very easy to walk and fish.

Year-round, wading prohibited from October to March

Line class: #7/8, length: 9’0″–10’0″

Leader

Length: at least 9 ft.

Strength: at least 0.20 mm, preferably 0.22 mm

Dry Fly

Only makes sense at certain times when water levels are low

Nymph

Fish usually stay near the bottom, so use patterns that are as heavy as possible.

Ideally two nymphs with a strike indicator: one heavy tungsten nymph and one light dropper.

Dropper: scud, red hook, Grizzly, Montana, etc. Heavy nymph: stonefly, cased caddis, peeping caddis, marabou jig, etc.

Streamer

From approx. 5 cm on a sink-tip or sinking line
